Built After Hours

Built After Hours

NOCTE was founded in Munich by automotive engineers. What began as after-hours design projects developed into an independent technology brand focused on products that integrate naturally into everyday life.

NOCTE is an independent design brand from Munich.

We create everyday technology designed to stay in sight — functional objects that feel considered enough to remain part of the space around them.

The first project was not a charger.

It was a paper punch.

The mechanism was taken apart, rebuilt in CAD and redesigned from the ground up. That project established an approach that still shapes NOCTE today: understand the function, remove what is unnecessary and give the object a clearer form.

Soon after, the focus shifted to charging.

Cables, adapters and power banks are part of everyday life, but rarely designed as objects people want to keep around them.

This became the starting point for C-Shell, The Snap and the wider NOCTE product language.

Designed to Stay in Sight.

Many of the first concepts were developed in the evenings, after regular working hours.

That is also where the name comes from.

NOCTE comes from the Latin “nocte” — by night.

Today, NOCTE develops its products in Munich and works with specialized manufacturing partners to bring them into production.

The goal remains simple:

Create useful technology with enough attention to form, materials and detail that it does not need to be hidden.
